Most notable in the history as one of the first movies that launched the careers of Renee Zellweger and Liv Tyler, but a cult classic in its own right. It features a bunch of record store employees who tries to save their work place called Empire Records. In a span of 24 hours they will try to to save it. But like any teen movie, each crazy moments always give birth to drama and which we see as each one experiences difficulties in their personal lives and relationships with one another.

Here's a clip from the movie which is sort of a music video featuring Renee Zellweger handling the mic like an old school punk rebel like she was back then! A cult classic that's worth every second to download.

COMBO ON THE RUN: Pedicab - Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter II

A few hours after uploading my PEDICAB post, I found out that they've officially released the album. so hooray for all the fans out there. Got the confirmation after seeing these pictures from the band's site and the album title is indeed "that", referring to SHINJI ILABAS MO NA ANG HELICOPTER".

The one above is the album cover for this release. Like their music, abstract and vibrant.
While the ones below is the back cover and the other looks like a cover sleeve, but after reading the text, suddenly I'm not so sure. Let's just grab the copy for us to find out and SUPPORT PINOY MUSIC!!!

Pedicab's second album is due anytime this year. It's been what... 3 years since their debut album. Just about time for this long awaited project! They've released their first single entitled "Ang Pusa Mo", which is enjoying its run at Jam88.3 (Nagulat ako nung marinig ko to dun, aba nagiba ng format!). You might think about translating the title in english and if your not too green-minded you'll figure that it's "Your Cat" and not the other thing... The video for this has already aired its premiere on MYX if I'm not mistaken. I caught the behind-the-scene interview by MYX and Diego Mapa, the man posing above, said they named this second effort, "Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter". Medyo-malabo-na-makulit-na-ewan-na-pwede-na yung title. We wouldn't know if that's really it until their album hits the record bars. Enjoy their new video in the mean time and SUPPORT PINOY MUSIC!!!

COMBO ON THE RUN: new single from Sugarfree

A message from Sugarfree's manager ( i think) was sent out to the group's listers saying that they have released a new single. It has been known getting some airplays, which according to the mailing list was heard playing over Jam 88.3. All though the song is connected to a still unknown company's endorsement plan, Jal , rest assures that the song was done with their blood and tears. "It is a stand alone single that we, as a band, were proud to make
(lyrics and music). Seryoso. As in nagkulong kami sa hotel room sa Mindoro para isulat
yung lyrics." noted the bassist. Entitled "Pugad", this song is not included in their latest album so don't go looking for some secret code under your CD sleeves.
